A friend of mine had a root canal today. Ouch?! People often ask me if I bleach my teeth, have veneers, etc. because (luckily) mine are in pretty good shape. The truth of the matter is that I actually just try to take really good care of them because I still have baby teeth (a pair of molars, to be exact). Yes, I am in my twenties. No, I was not raised by hillbillies…
I had a few wisdom teeth pulled, but
much like my cleavagemy adult molars just never really materialized. They aren’t impacted (aka playing hide and go seek somewhere in my jaw). Countless x-rays later, several oral surgeons have declared them nonexistent… Further proof that I’m immature to the bone.
I also have this condition. In my case, it occurs in my lower front teeth rather than my molars. Most dentists tell me they’ve never seen anything like it. Then they tell me that they need to perform a procedure because, in theory, baby teeth can’t handle the rigors of adult life. I think that’s a bunch of rubbish. I choose to take good care of my teeth, and I’ve been fine so far. And you can’t really tell that they’re junior teeth unless I point them out.
